As someone with high arches, finding comfortable flats has always been a struggle. Most ballet flats offer little to no arch support, which leaves my feet aching by the end of the day. I was hesitant to try Tieks ballet flats, but after wearing them for months, I can say they’re better than most, though not perfect for high arches.
While Tieks arch support isn’t as strong as a sneaker or orthopedic shoe, the cushioned insole does offer more comfort than most flats I’ve tried. The high-quality Italian leather shapes to my feet over time, which makes a big difference in fit and feel. I can wear them for a full workday without discomfort, but on extra busy days, I sometimes add a thin arch insert for extra support.
Not only do I have high arches, but I also have plantar fasciitis. If you also have this, I’d recommend breaking them in and seeing how they feel for you. The leather stretches and softens, making them more comfortable over time, but if you need strong arch support, you may need additional insoles.
